It's amazing.
General Motors is slashing union pay, benefits and pensions while union workers at our own Lockheed Martin plant yesterday ratified the best contract they've ever had.
The new deal at LM raises wages, boosts pensions and limits increases in employee contributions to medical insurance premiums.
The difference, of course, is that General Motors has to compete for the public's business.
LM sells its planes to our government, and if the price goes up, so what?
When you're $8.3 trillion in debt, what's a few hundred billion more?
