Professional Unit Ratifies Contract |

On June 28, 2006 the 70 member, RIBCO Professional Unit, ratified a contract that is retroactive to June 27, 2004 and will extend to June 30, 2008. Wage increases included: 4% effective June 2004, 4% effective June 2005, 3% effective June 2006 and 3% effective June 2007. The unit also agreed to a co-share towards heathcare costs of 2.5% of base wages and an additional .5% on all other wages.
Also included in the agreement were increases in shift differential, increases in bereavement leave, participation in the RIBCO Sick Leave program, increases in the time limits to file grievances, development of an in-service program, increases in tuition re-imbursement, new language on reclassification and/or upgrading and new language on case loads.
