Contract Arbitration - Update #1
  The State of Rhode Island has selected Robert E. Liguori as their arbitrator in the upcomming arbitration with the Brotherhood of Correctional Officers. Mr. Liguori is an attorney with the law firm of Adler, Pollock & Sheehan and has been with that firm for the past twelve years. He is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and received his law degree from the Catholic University of America.

Mr. Liguori has served in several cabinet positions with the State of Rhode Island as Director of the Department of Administration and Director of the Department of Business Regulation. He is currently the Chairman of the Businesxs Advisory Council of the University of Rhode Island's College of Business Administration and serves as a director of the Rhode Island Public Expenditure Council.

The Brotherhood has selected their 2nd Vice President, Ron Brodeur, as their representative on the arbitration panel.

Both Mr. Brodeur and Mr. Liguori have exchanged lists containing names of potential arbitrators to serve as the neutral. Currently, both sides are reviewing these lists.
