RIBCO Successful in Court |
| |
RIBCO filed for a restraining order on Tuesday, September 1st to block the Governor's plan for the first of 12 shutdowns days. RIBCO's lawyers argued in front of Judge Silverstein on Wednesday and Thursday. Judge Silverstein granted the Administration the authority to proceed with the shutdown plans. RIBCO immediately appealed his decision to the Supreme Court where Supreme Court Justice Maureen McKenna Goldberg granted a temporary stay of the Governor's first shutdown day. On September 11th, RIBCO's attorneys will be back in front of the full Supreme Court attempting to block all the shutdown days. |
